3 Pajamas Breakfast Club: Budapest

Breakfast places might be my specialty. If it’s a place for brunch it’s a place for me! Budapest has so many options to choose from and I am constantly discovering new ones to cross off my list. We has a slow morning and I decided that 3 Pajamas Breakfast club was the one to try next!

DECOR:

This is a cute cafe but it is extremely small. However, despite the small size they utilize the space quite well. There are two tables in the bottom that both seat only two people and then a bench seat that faces the window, which also sits two. There is an “upstairs” that resembles a loft bed with a larger table for six and one more two person table. The loft hangs over the small kitchen.

AMBIANCE:

It’s a pretty normal cafe atmosphere. Naturally with it being so small it is quiet and there’s no music playing. You can hear the food cooking in the little kitchen.

SERVICE at 3 Pajamas Breakfast Club:

The staff was very friendly, and bonus they spoke English perfectly! In Hungary this can be a huge benefit, even more so than in other European cities The service was a little slow but it seems like they take their time preparing everything.

TASTE:

Hot chocolate: these are large hot chocolate mugs with huge marshmallows covered in chocolate sauce (€2)

Ham, cheese fried egg sandwich: a fancy take on your average breakfast sandwich. There was a ton of cheese perfectly melted and thinly sliced ham. The fried egg was cooked to perfection. It came with a small side salad covered in Hungarian thousand island dressing which paired well with the savory sandwich. We both decided to add it on the sandwich halfway through. The only complaint was the bread was a bit burnt on the ends and was too crunchy for our liking (€3.70ish)

Bacon and fried egg sandwich: essentially the same as the ham and cheese one except it was served with soft, fatty bacon strips (€3.70ish)

Total: 8.5/10
