Who doesn’t love a good cocktail? This girl certainly does. Nothing makes me feel like I’m on vacation more than a cold and delicious drink. And the only thing better than a cocktail, is a photogenic fancy cocktail. Instagram worthy cocktails can be found at one of my favorite bars in Vienna: The sign. Now, must add a disclaimer that this is not your cheap bar crawl type of establishment. It is a bit on the pricey side so I personally only ever go for special occasions or if I really feel like I deserve a treat (insert treat yo self snaps). However , all in all I do think you get what you pay for with these stellar specialty cocktails.

AMBIANCE:

The sign is a very dark lit room that gives it an almost speak easy vibe when you arrive. They have a long corridor where the bar is as well as seating along the far wall. The front room is where I have always preferred to sit. It has very minimalistic design and decor and really focuses on the lighting fixtures and warmth of the furniture.

SERVICE:

We haven’t had a bad experience yet here. The staff is wonderful about recommendations if you know the types of drinks you prefer and they’re knowledgeable enough to help those who don’t. The presentation of the drinks is outstanding as well and the menus are so creative.

TASTE:

Unnamed: The first drink was a drink my friend ordered and unfortunately I forgot to catch the name. But even from the photo it sure looks delicious.

Pina colada: although this is typically found at the majority of bars, the quality of this one was high class and presentation was lovely.

Key lime pie: this drink is exactly what it sounds like, a delicious key lime pie cocktail served with toasted whipped cream and two Oreo cookies on top.

Artist: sadly I can’t remember the specific name but if you tell them you want the artist paint cocktail they will definitely know which one. This is by far my favorite. You have the base cocktail and it comes with 3 flavored “gels”. You dip your paint brush in the gels then into the cocktail to create your own concoction of flavors. It was truly phenomenal.
