I love Mexican food and to be honest, Vienna isn’t the greatest hotspot to finding good Mexican restaurants. We have a few here and there and i will continue to hunt them down and try as many as I find, but it’s rare that many are worth talking about. So naturally, I was happy when a friend recommended Santos Mexican Grill & Bar. It’s a bit more on the expensive side but it’s hard to find good and cheap Mexican in Austria.

SERVICE:

Our waiter was absolutely wonderful. He was so friendly, patient and very attentive.

FOOD:

Chicken burrito: my partner ordered this and was kind enough to let me take a bite. As soon as I did the word WOW involuntarily escaped from my lips because wow wow wow. The chicken is the superstar of this show. It’s basically mini chicken tenders breaded to perfection with an almost honey flavor in the breading. It’s paired with avocado, salsa, lettuce , rice and just packed with amazing flavors that all compliment each other, wrapped up in a soft toasted tortilla. I was so in love after my bite that my partner (bless him) offered to go halfsies so that we could both enjoy a bit of both meals. €11.90

Enchiladas de Pollo: these were quite flavorful, and soft to cut. The chicken was tender and shredded perfectly, the sauce was very tomato based and the rice was delicious and added the perfect spice flavor. The only thing is they drizzle a tiny bit of sour cream and it’s not even close to being enough that I had to order more on the side €12.90

Happy Hour all cocktails €7.5 from 16:00-20:99 & 22:00-00:00 . We ordered 2 each. I had the planters punch (normally 12.5) and my partner had sex on the beach . Mine came in the tiki glass.
