W. A. Sanchez: Vienna

We stumbled upon W. A. Sanchez while we were walking around one Saturday morning. It caught our eye, not thinking it was a restaurant on the outside. We decided to wait the 5 minutes until it opened at 11:30 and give it a try. I’m SO glad we did. Mexican isn’t as popular in Vienna, so I get very excited when I find good Mexican. This was very reasonably priced as well!

DECOR:

The inside is very clean and simple. When you walk in there is a corner wall full of wooden plant holders. I love the accent wall, because the rest is quite minimalistic. They have a mural of their logo on the back wall, the menu board over the “kitchen” takes up the rest of the far wall and the front is full door/ windows that open to give you a fresh air seat.

AMBIANCE:

The music was upbeat and not too loud, the windows give it plenty of natural light and even though it is located on a street with a tram stop right out front it was not loud at all.

SERVICE at W.A. Sanchez:

As we were the first ones there it was extremely fast to receive our food once we ordered, however even the next two family groups were served very quickly after us. You order at the counter and they make it then and their while you watch and can add what you like from the selection.

TASTE:

Overall it was amazing! The ingredients were very fresh and had strong flavors. Everything mixed together perfectly.

Crispy chicken bowl: the bowl was delicious, the chicken was warm and tender with a nice breading. I added sour cream and spicy chili sauce to mine and I think that was a very good choice (6.90)

Crispy chicken burrito: my partner ordered the burrito which had all the same ingredients that came in my bowl as well (6.50)

W. A. Sanchez is definitely a must try: 9.5/10
