Ebi : Vienna

Hands down Ebi is my favorite Asian buffet restaurant in Vienna. You are given a tablet in which you can place your order at the table and the my bring the food to you as you continue to order. There are a few locations throughout the city and some have a buffet bar for salads and desserts while others you only order from the tablet at your table.

DECOR:

The decor is a simple Asian style, often they have Buddha statues, paintings and lots of plants. There are so many locations throughout Vienna that each one has its own unique style and decor. Some are more modern while others have a cozy feel to them.

AMBIANCE:

I love this place because it makes me feel so relaxed. The music is never too loud, the “self paced service” of ordering your rounds of food whenever you’re ready makes it a great experience.

SERVICE in Ebi:

The wait staff is generally very nice, they don’t interact much other than to bring the portions of your choosing to the tables. Some locations have robots that bring out the dishes which I think is a really cool feature. You mostly order your selections on the tablet but the staff do come to regularly clear away any dirty dishes.

TASTE:

The selection of food is quite extensive, however I will list a few of my favorites that I get every time I go. The portions are small so we tend to order a few of our favorites and then one of the ones we want to try that day.

Udon: soft and delicious

Rice: good flavor

Sushi: almost all of the sushi I’ve had I have enjoyed

Pikant soup: one of my all time favorite versions

Sweet and sour chicken: crunchy, crispy and tender with the perfect sauce
