Feurteventura: Discovering the Allure of Spain’s Sun-Drenched Gem

Feurteventura: Discovering the Allure of Spain’s Sun-Drenched Gem

Feurteventura

Feurteventura is technically part of the Canary Islands off the coast of Spain. I went for a week trip and it wasn’t at all what I expected at first. The first part of the island is completely rocky, cliffs everywhere and doesn’t give off the typical “island vibes”. There are deserts in this island as well and then you have the beautiful stunning beaches you think of when you think Canary Islands.

**So sadly when I took this trip I wasn’t taking notes for blogs yet. As a result I don’t have the specific location for a lot of the things we did and saw, or places we went. Here is a list of what I try my best to cover for you. You can skip to any section if you click the link:

Accommodation in Feurteventura:

We stayed in an AirBnB in Costa Calma. This is on the southern eat tip of the island. The island is huge and takes a few hours to drive to different areas. I highly recommend renting a car, public transportation was not a realistic option.

What to Eat:

One of the few places I made sure to get the name of was La vaca azul. This adorable restaurant is right on the coast and the food was absolutely amazing !!

There’s a beach cafe that had one of the nice but commercialized style beaches and of course the cafe was just called the “Beach cafe”. The food was decent but not the best.

Waikiki restaurant was in a really nice area with lots of shopping, gelato shops and some pretty beach spots.

Tony’s Non solo cafe was a good coffee place.

Sites in Feurteventura:

Travel to the mountain areas of the island you can find goats!

The island also has tons of squirrels.

There’s a sperm whale skeleton displayed out in a park.

There’s a well know giant statue landmark.

Puerto De Morro Jable was a small port we found that had some cool boats to look at, but not much around this port. All the beaches however are very pretty!

There are some pretty churches.

The sand dunes are fun to explore.
