The Social Hub: Co-working and Co-living in Vienna Austria

The Social Hub Vienna

The Social Hub is the place to come together, to eat, drink, collaborate with other members of the community. The laid-back bars and restaurants at TSH Vienna have plenty of options to refuel throughout the day and carry on into the night.

Coworking spaces at The Social Hub Vienna

The Social Hub Vienna aims to bring a new generation of international citizens and digital nomads together. Set in an up-and-coming neighbourhood of Vienna, this coworking space sets the scene for you to get creative, brainstorm or host a meeting. The TSH community gives access to a gym, meeting and event spaces. In addition, they host weekly community events. Membership perks such as food and drinks discounts are also included.

Parking

Whether you have a car or a bike there will be parking options right on site for you or less than a block away. We drove and parked in a parking garage that was right down the road. As we strolled around I saw they also have a large dedicated “bicycle garage” for those who want to bike around the city. If you are using public it is conveniently locate near tram stops as well.

Restaurant

Breakfast is served between 7:00-11:00

Lunch is served between Noon-14:00

Dinner is served between 17:30-20:00 being closed on Saturday and Sunday for dinner only.

Taste:

We didn’t have the opportunity to try the food so unfortunately I cannot attest to the quality of the taste. However their iced coffee was very good and was the perfect boost to keep me going on the empty stomach.

Price & Service:

The prices however I think are a bit overpriced, especially considering it is a “student hotel” at the core. Service was a little slow as well. The moment we sat down someone came to ask what we wanted before we had even picked up the menu. When we said we need a minute to look it then was close to 15 minutes before my partner finally went up to the bar to ask to order.

Prices:

We went to check out the location and the restaurant. However, when we arrived they told us the kitchen had just closed. We were surprised as we got there a little before the end of lunch hours. So instead we just had grabbed a table, had a quick drink, and I checked the location out for all the different areas for coworking. We didn’t pay for anything other than the drinks. I was surprised when I went online and saw a “day pass” price. Perhaps there are other areas that are included for this but I can tell you there’s plenty of spaces to go in and work that you don’t need to pay a penny for!

Conclusion

So, should you visit The Social Hub?

While the early closing of the restaurant and the lack of service left something to be desired, I can say that the incredible interior and variety of working spaces is definitely a great bonus. I would be happy to work there on a regular basis. You could easily have a new spot each and every day. Networking would also be a great benefit. There were tons of people all from different locations working harmoniously and respectfully. SO, if you are staying for a week or more and want a location that offers great co-working spaces, on-site food options, a gym, meetings room and more, then I would say at least look into The Social Hub to see if its right for you!
