Teddy’s American Diner: Vienna

Old school American diners are one of my favorite places to check out. The nostalgia of it all makes me feel like I can travel back to the 50’s. We wanted to check out Teddy’s American Diner after some friends of ours went and said they enjoyed it.

DECOR:

It is very much your American diner themed restaurant. There’s plenty of memorabilia covering the walls, while the booths make you feel like you are right back in the prime time of diner life. The black and white checkered tiled floor paired with the red and white striped booths are pure classics. They play great music that’s fitting of the era and everywhere you look makes you feel like you’ve been thrown into a time capsule.

SERVICE at Teddy’s American Diner:

The wait staff was very friendly. They came to our table quickly and were helpful when we ordered. The food wasn’t extremely fast but it didn’t take that long either with the amount of customers inside.

TASTE:

Burgers and fries: the burgers and fries were tasty, however it was nothing extraordinary. I have high expectations when it comes to American diners and while it was good, it’s not my top burger choice in the city. The fries were a little too soft as well overall. I prefer a soft inside and crunchy outside.

Milkshakes: I sadly was disappointed by the milkshakes but my partner enjoyed his however. His chocolate one was better than my vanilla. I was almost hoping for the old school malts but these weren’t even on par with good milkshakes you can find at many fast food restaurants in the States.
