Bestia : Budapest

We went to Bestia with my partners teammates. They have a special menu Thursday – Saturday where everything on that meal deal list is 50% off or you buy one get one. A meal that should have cost us around €70 was only around €30. They have drinks, appetizers, meals and desserts on the menu but it last only until 19:00 so you want to start early to get the best deal.

DECOR:

The stylish industrial interior, mixed with wood, plants and mirrors. The bar is located in the center of a wrap around U area for all the tables. The use of Edison bulbs was tasteful and really set a nice mood.

AMBIANCE at Bestia:

Bestia was darker with dim lighting, great for dinner parties. The music wasn’t too loud, but it was a bit loud simply because the place was full of people. Seems to be a very popular place and well deserved.

SERVICE at Bestia:

We had a table of around 11 people and the food was still so quick to come out. The wait staff spoke English perfectly and were very friendly and helpful with our groups questions .

TASTE:

Mango vodka: I am not usually a vodka drinker anymore but my partner is. We ordered the buy one get one and I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious, I ended up ordering two more rounds. (2 for €5.50)

Burgers: while the guys thought they were a little small, I still thought it was very filling . They have a delicious sauce on the burger, which does make it a bit of a messy eat. They come with some potato wedges and ketchup as well. (2 for €10/12)

Mac and cheese: amazingly delicious, brought out in a cast iron Pan with a perfectly browned crunchy top. Underneath the creamy pasta was simply outstanding. This was not on the menu deal but it is worth every cent! (€8)

Pastrami sandwich: this is a monster sandwich! It makes your eyes go wide when they bring it out and your mouth water merely at the sight. That first bite is a flavor explosion that sends you right to heaven. This baby comes LOADED with cheese and a savory sauce that makes the meat just scrumptious! If you’re like me you’ll eat half and be full, but that means you get a wonderful lunch the next day!
