Mikes 1150: Vienna

Mikes 1150:

Vienna has a never ending list of restaurants popping up and it is hard to keep up! We recently decided to expand our horizons and discovered Mikes 1150. It has all kinds of options and we were very satisfied. If you are in Vienna you should give it a try!

DECOR:

Rustic and a bit industrial in all the best ways. The exposed brick , with the wooden furniture, Edison bulbs and plants is one of my favorite styles. The chairs we chose were comfortable and so stylish. You can choose to sit at the bar, on high top booths, or low tables.

AMBIANCE:

The lighting is nice and low, gives a very relaxed but still elegant vibe. The music wasn’t too loud even though we were only one of three groups seated inside. We opted to sit inside simply because the garden outside is next to a road and it was a bit too loud for us.

SERVICE at Mikes 1150:

We sat inside and it was not a very busy day inside so we had very prompt service. Our food arrived relatively quickly and the staff were friendly.

TASTE:

There was not a single item that I didn’t throughly enjoy.

Mediterranean salad: fresh and great ratios of mozzarella, tomato and salad. The portion was a good size as well. (8.80)

Chili cheese nuggets: one word. Phenomenal honestly it was a toss up if we were going to order but we decided to go for it and it paid off in full! My only complaint is that it only comes with 4 pieces. (3.60)

Club sandwich: I only had a bite as this was my partners meal but to me the tender chicken and good flavor were even in the single bit. The salad and tomatoes were fresh, sauce ratio was good, bread was right amount of toasted, and the portion size was large (10.30)

Dipper fries: wonderful, perfect soft to crunch ratio and the shape is perfect for dipping (came with club sandwich)

Hot chocolate : best I’ve had in Vienna to date. I opted for the “Soft and sweet” which has caramel infusion. (5.10)

Total: 10/10
