The Breakfast Club: Vienna

We originally had not planned to come here, we wanted to go to a cafe called Vollpension that I had been interested in trying. However when we got there, even on a Thursday morning the place was full. There were some tables outside but since it was cold we didn’t want to sit outside so we decided to walk and we found The Breakfast Club right next door. I love finding places unexpectedly!

DECOR:

It is a very small cafe. There are only six tables inside most of which sit 2 people, 3 at most. The tables all share a wrap around bench that is angled at an awkward slant. They do have outdoor seating which would be perfect for the warmer months. The decor is nothing special, I did like the large elephant wall hanging but that’s because i’m biased to all things elephant.

AMBIANCE at The Breakfast Club:

The front is a very large floor to ceiling window so there is some natural light. They had a variety of music playing, it was a little louder than the tiny space required but it wasn’t too overbearing.

SERVICE: the staff was friendly, but I would say it was a little lower paced. If you have tome to relax then it would be a good option.

TASTE:

I wanted something savory as well as sweet so we decided to order one of each and split them.

Hot chocolate: both my partner and I ordered a hot chocolate. While I thought it was a very average hot chocolate, he thought it was good. (€3.40)

R.A. : the meal was overall a great assortment of food. It had a two egg omelet, three pieces of bacon, roasted peppers with hummus, olives, tomatoes with cucumbers, fruit and breads with butter.

French toast: the French toast was very tasty, it came with cinnamon, assorted fruit and a delicious whipped cream ans syrup

Total: 8/10
