La Bella Bambina: Benalmádena, Spain
We landed very late and decided to try La Bella Bambina because you can see it from the infinity pool of our AirBnB. Our first visit was around 21:00 so we weren’t able to see the amazing views yet. This is part of the reason we decided we needed to go back for another round of drinks during the day. They have a restaurant in the lower half of the building and a rooftop deck bar higher up. They also have a seasonal pool that’s available to guest which is pretty amazing.
DECOR:
The rooftop bar section has wonderful direct views of the ocean from an elevation so the view itself is quite the focal point of the “decor”. They do also have string lights all around the top of the patio as well as some tiki umbrellas . Down below the formal restaurant itself is very elegant.
AMBIANCE:
There is a very relaxed and chill atmosphere here. You can come for any occasion and feel very comfortable. It’s hard not to feel relaxed while looking out at the ocean.
SERVICE at la Bella Bambino:
The staff were wonderful. They were so kind and accommodating. They brought English menus for us after we failed translating at least a third of the menu. They also were kind enough to cancel one of the orders we made after we ordered too much food in one go.
*service fee is included in receipt so if you feel like tipping more you just add to the pre-added gratuity charge
TASTE:
We decided to order a few of the starters and share everything. One of my favorite things about Spain is the tapas culture. I love to get a little bit of everything.
Strawberry sangria: AMAZING! So fresh and just the right amount of sweetness. The main reason I wanted to go back to enjoy another pitcher of these during the day (€20)
Croquettes: these were absolutely delicious. They were so soft and melted in your mouth almost (€8)
Quesadilla with sauces: these are very cheesy and delicious, soft middle and a little crunchy on the ends. It comes with 3 side options, a pico de Gallo, a mild salsa and a spicy dip (similar to a spicy Mayo but better) these were very good when your mixed them all together on top (€5.50)
Bella Bambino Nachos: this is a mountain pile of nachos. Jaws dropped when they brought them out. They are topped with guacamole, cheese, pico de gallo, and pork. My partner loves nachos and over all he really liked everything except the cheese. We agree it’s the “fake” cheese that you get in movie theaters. ( €10)
Total: 9/10
