Twin Palms is exceptionally special for us as this is the location of our wedding week and our destination elopement ceremony was hosted at one of there facilities Kalido. If you have ever tried planning a wedding on one continent, while you are on another and your family is on a third, then you can test to how much stress it is to plan when you’ve never visited a location in person. The Twin Palms team was incredible every step of the way in making sure ours and our guests stay were as perfect as they could be. This article will not be heavily focused on the wedding and I will do my best to separate perks for guests and special inclusions from our package.

Location & Accessibility
Description of the hotel’s location
Twin Palms Resort is ideally situated along the stunning shores of Surin Beach in Phuket, Thailand. The resort’s prime location allows guests to easily explore nearby attractions, including vibrant local markets, upscale dining venues, and picturesque viewpoints overlooking the Andaman Sea. You can walk directly across the street to the beach and find a street of markets as well. There are many restaurants and stores as well as pharmacies and 7-elevens within walking distance.
Proximity to transportation hubs, attractions, and amenities
There is no real public transportation in Phuket that we noticed. Everywhere we went was by rented scooter, Grab or the hotel transportation. Many things were in walking distance as well but if you want to explore the wider surrounding areas, Grab or renting a scooter is your best option. Accommodation Features
Room types and amenities offered
We had the unique experience of staying in all three of the four tiers of the room types offered at the resort. The tiers are the Palm rooms and suites, Lagoon rooms and suites, Duple Lofts and finally the Penthouses. We started the first half of our trip in the Deluxe Lagoon suites, then were upgraded to the Penthouse for the second half due to the wedding. Finally, we extend our stay one additional night and stayed in the lowest tier Palm suites. We can honestly say all of the accommodation options are incredible.
PALM ROOMS & SUITES
DUPLEX LOFT
PENTHOUSE & PRESIDENTIAL LOFT
Workspace availability and quality
Each of the rooms had a desk no matter the room type and there are also meeting rooms available for larger groups. They host conferences at some of their additional facilities so no matter the need, twin Palms has you covered.
Internet speed and reliability
Wifi covers every area of the resort. I never had any connection stability issues and was very satisfied with the connection and speed for uploading, downloading and streaming.
Noise levels and privacy
Not once did we have an issue with noise or privacy. This was one of the most peaceful places we have ever stayed. We did have the luxury of having our private pools in the penthouse and the semi private with the lagoon rooms, but even the main pool was never an issue. All of the rooms are equipped with blackout curtains and noise never traveled into any of our accommodations. It was truly a tranquil paradise.
Facilities & Services
On-site facilities such as gyms, pools, co-working spaces, etc.
Pools
Th resort has one very large main pool for all guest. Then there are the lagoon pools which are for the guest staying in the lagoon rooms and suites. Next the lofts have private pools and so do the penthouses (some on the roof and some on the ground floors). You will never be short of pools at the Twin Palms. There is also a pool bar at the main one for drinks or snacks.
Gym
The gym is elegant, well equipped, very clean and properly organized. The AC is full blast and it has high end equipment for all levels of fitness. They also offer coaching our group trainings.
Spa
Palm Spa is their on site spa and it is again a high end facility. Relaxation began as soon as we arrived with a welcome drink and a questionnaire about our target areas, firmness level preferences and any areas to avoid. We also were given sample of the types of aromas we would like (lotus was incredible). The staff are so friendly, well knowledgeable about pressure points and very hospitable. After we were given teas to help with the toxins and recover quicker.
Restaurants
Twin Palms has two on site restaurants and many partner beach clubs. The Oriental Spoon is where breakfast buffet is served daily and they have lunch and dinner here as well. The second on site restaurant is the Wagyu Steakhouse located right next to the penthouses. We didn’t eat here but we had dinner at the Oriental Spoon and daily breakfast which was delicious! Off site they have Catch Beach Club, Kalido and the Lazy Coconut which hourly transportation from the resort to all locations.
Quality of services provided (housekeeping, front desk, etc.)
The staff are all wonderful and keep the place running smoothly. Beds are freshly made and new towels, glasses and things are provided each morning. Breakfast is included and they have one of the best and wide spreads we have had in Thailand by far! There is your traditional Thai meals and a full American styled continental breakfast with some of the best sourdough and handmade jams I’ve had in my life.
The front desk reception is top notch. There is always someone there and they are eager to help you with anything you need. They also have guides for excursions and tours you can do. If you want to hire a driver or have recommendations, they will gladly help with all of this as well! There is also an app that you can find all the information you need, make reservations, book spa services and even order ice to your room from! Truly, this is top level luxury.
Value for Money
Pricing compared to similar accommodations in the area
This is luxury resort so naturally it is on the higher end of the budget spectrum. However, I think it is still affordable if you want to splurge for a few days and then find cheaper accommodation for longer stays. There are quite a few nice resorts in the Surin beach area so the price point isn’t outrageous compared to the other resorts at all. If you wish to stay in cheaper though the area has a wide range of options to look for.
Inclusion of value-added services or perks
One of the biggest perks we’ve ever received while staying at a resort was the day yacht cruise hosted by Twin Palms. During the stay you had to be there 5-7 nights (depending on when you booked) and you received a day cruise on a yacht to some of the private islands.
Complimentary sun-bed or cabana loungers were given to everyone as well to use at some of their beach club locations such as Catch Beach Club or at The Lazy Coconut. There were also drink vouchers for one drink at Kalido which was perfect for our group who went there for dinner.
Free bottles of champagne, welcome drinks and spa treatments are included in many of the packages as well. Also, everyone in our group (except us- yes I am still salty) also were given tester pillows to choose the type of pillows they wanted for their rooms! They also have free fruit platters every day between 15:00-16:00 in the wine lounge.
If you are celebrating a special occasion you may also get some additional room decor like a flower bath or extra bottles of champagne with roses.
Our Experience & Thoughts
Personal experience and impressions of Twin Palms
We cannot say a single negative thing about our stay at the Twin Palms resort. while we aren’t necessarily budget travelers, we also are not luxury travelers so for us this was truly an incredible and top luxury experience. The staff is incredible, the facilities are beautiful and fully equipped, the rooms are perfect. The attention to detail cannot be expressed enough and the experience was one we will never forget.
Recommendations and tips for future guests
If you are looking to explore the area a lot, then we recommend one of two things. Extend your stay at the Twin Palms for a day or two longer than desired, or split your stay between Twin Palms and a second accommodation. We truly feel like we didn’t get to enjoy the resort as much as we wanted to once we saw how incredible it was because we had such a busy schedule that week. Make sure to schedule at least two days of just enjoying the resort itself.
if you are considering a destination wedding in Thailand, then we highly recommend booking with Twin Palms coordinators. They were professional, organized, communicated well and made our day room smoothly!
