Yucas: Benalmádena, Spain
Yucas:
We passed by Yucas while we were trying to find a car rental shop further away. It looked so nice that when we finally succeeded in getting our car we immediately drove back to check it out. They have a few sections, the top floor is the bar & cafe. Below is the full service restaurant with a completely different menu. We decided to go to the bar and cafe because the views above the ocean were just beautiful and we really wanted a drink.
DECOR:
As many of these restaurants will be, the focal point is once again the stunning views of the ocean. The tables and setup inside is very elegant though. They also have these bubble like private rooms down below.
AMBIANCE:
For as elegant as the decor and furniture are, it was an extremely laid back atmosphere.
SERVICE:
The staff was very friendly. They sat us quickly and then let us change tables when a nicer one opened up a few minutes after we were seated. You can choose indoors or outdoors but I highly recommend sitting outside if you can for the view!
TASTE:
Club sandwich with fries: the bread was soft but well toasted. The bacon was soft so if you like crunchy you might be a little disappointed. The eggs were fresh. The ratio of bread to filling was very good and was a good blend of meats with melted cheese. The fries were soft and served with ketchup and Mayo (€12)
Mini empanadas: these were very soft and tasty, they offer both meat and vegetables options (€7)
Mango daiquiri : I haven’t had a fruity cocktail is a long time and it was a good start to the vacation drinks (other than sangria) €6.50
Total: 8.5/10
